How you opt in to SMS

Opt-in is in the Daily HIIT iOS app only. There is no website form, keyword text-in, QR code, paper form, or verbal sign-up.

On the sign-in screen the consumer sees:

The consumer types their own mobile number and taps Send code. That tap is the affirmative opt-in. We send one 6-digit authentication SMS only to that number, only after that tap. Reply STOP to opt out; reply HELP for help.

This Privacy Policy describes how Daily HIIT (“Daily HIIT,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Daily HIIT iOS app and the website at dailyhiit.app.

Daily HIIT is a sole proprietorship. It is not a corporation, LLC, or partnership. The operator is McLean Reiter, an individual doing business as Daily HIIT (the same personal legal name that appears as the App Store seller).

1. Who we are

Operator: McLean Reiter, sole proprietor, d/b/a Daily HIIT
Website: https://dailyhiit.app
Privacy contact: privacy@dailyhiit.app

2. Information we collect

Account

Profile and app settings

Workout and class activity

Health and fitness data (Apple Health / Apple Watch)

If you allow it on a supported iPhone with a paired Apple Watch, we read (we do not write) from Apple Health:

We use those samples in the app to estimate heart-rate zones, Train minutes (time in Push and Max), Move calories, average heart rate, and related class stats. You can take class without granting Health access; Show up still counts, and Train / Move stay empty.

We do not use Apple Health / HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or data mining. We do not sell it. We do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. Access is optional and controlled in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Apple. We receive subscription status and related App Store transaction identifiers so we can unlock class. We do not collect or store your full payment card number.

Device and diagnostics

We do not currently collect precise GPS location, contacts, or your photo library.

3. How we use information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information to run third-party advertising networks.

4. Text messages (SMS)

If you enter your mobile number in the app and tap Send code, you consent to receive a transactional SMS with a one-time login code from Daily HIIT.

We use your number to deliver the code you requested and to associate it with your account. We do not text marketing blasts on this campaign.

5. Who processes data for us

Provider Role
Apple App distribution, In-App Purchases / subscriptions, Apple Health on your device
Supabase Account authentication and application database
Twilio Delivery of SMS login codes
Resend (or similar email provider) Delivery of email login codes, if you use email sign-in

These providers may process data in the United States. Apple also processes Health data on-device according to Apple’s policies until you grant the app permission to read it.

6. Sharing

We share information only:

We do not sell personal information as that term is commonly used under US state privacy laws, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Retention

We keep account, class history, and membership records while your account is open and as needed for the subscription, security, and legal records. Health-derived class stats we store (for example zone minutes and calories for an attempt) stay with your class history until deleted as described below.

You can sign out in the app. To request deletion of your account and associated server data, email privacy@dailyhiit.app. Some records may remain where we must keep them (for example Apple’s copy of a subscription, or data retained for legal compliance). Health data that never left your device remains under your Apple Health controls.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access-controlled databases, and least-privilege server keys). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Your choices and rights

If you are a resident of California or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you may also have the right to know, delete, correct, or opt out of certain sharing. We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To appeal a request, reply to our decision email.

10. Children

Daily HIIT is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is intended for users old enough to agree to these terms and to exercise safely (see the Terms of Use).

11. International users

v1 is offered for iOS in the United States. If you use Daily HIIT from another country, you understand your information is processed in the United States.

12. Apple HealthKit

Apple Health / HealthKit data is used only to provide fitness metrics in Daily HIIT (zones, Train, Move, and related class stats). It is not used for advertising or sold. It is not shared with third parties except as required to store your own class results on our servers so the app can show history and rings, or as required by law.

13. Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the “Last updated” date and, if changes are material, provide additional notice in the app or by email or SMS where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy. The current version is posted at https://dailyhiit.app/privacy.html.
